Established in 2002 in Upper Beach -Toronto Ontario, Bird & Wolf Specialty Coffee Roastery, was probably ahead of its time. We were two young Canadian guys, who believed that speciality coffee was more than a luxury. Specialty coffee was a way to start the day, a pick-me-up during the afternoon, a moment of relaxation at the office and a way to bring friends together around the campfire. That's why we strived to provide specialty coffee sourced from sustainable and ethical farms around the world.
In 2005 we closed our store and roastery.
We became adults with degrees, with mortgages, dogs and debt, illness and drama, and with careers and professions that have spanned over twenty years.
Our coffee roasting passion was re-kindled in 2023 with a trip back to the Hawaiian Islands, re-igniting our dedication to source and curate unique green coffee beans from farms & estates from around the world beginning with the Island of Hawaii 100% Kona Coffee.
We decided to re-launch our little coffee roasting company with much excitement.
A lot has changed in the coffee industry over the past twenty years and technology has played a part to the transformation.
One thing still has stayed the same - every coffee bean has a story.
Today as a small roastery, we freshly roast, package and label with meticulous care in Kitchener Waterloo. We ensure, our approachable and accessible variety of world coffees and flavoured coffee beans bring indulgence with every cup.

Our specialty are Island Nation Coffees like Hawaiian 100% Kona coffee and 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. Not to be outdone are our selection of extraordinary coffee beans from Colombia, Costa Rica & Brazil.
From selecting speciality green beans from Asia to South America and Hawaii, profiling and roasting and packaging; we are dedicated to providing you with a memorable experience every time you indulge in Bird & Wolf Specialty Coffee Roastery. We love the aroma, the taste, and the magical first crack when roasting.
After cooling, we package our coffee beans the same day in our flat bottom with one way valve, zippered bags and heat seal them. Our coffee bags are resealable to maintain their freshness.

Bird & Wolf Specialty Coffee Roastery is more than just a coffee bean roastery. At our pop ups, farmers markets and special events - where possible -, with our Italian made La Marzocco Linea Mini Espresso machine - we transform our roasted beans into exceptional and indulgent hot or iced beverages.

From our every day Republica de Colombia to our indulgent 100% Hawaiian Coffee, Costa Rica from La Finca Estate, 100% Jamaican Blue from Clifton Estate to our London Fog Latte, Chai Tea Latte and Cappucinos - try our beverages.
Canada does not have the environment to grow coffee. Because of this, we take great care in sourcing our green coffee beans from ethical and sustainable farms/estates from around the world. We meticulously roast our own coffee beans in a Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) certified manufacturing facility.
